Meet Your Provider

A Little More About Me

If you prefer the professional version, feel free to stop there. But I want to add an overshare about me for a moment because I believe the best clinical relationships are built on trust and transparency. I’m sharing this upfront so you can get to know me now without taking up your valuable time in our visits. That way, we can spend our time together focused entirely on you, your health, your concerns, and your goals, while still giving you a sense of who I am, what I bring to the table, and whether I might be a good fit for you.

I originally became a nurse because I needed a stable, reliable income as a teen mom to my incredible first daughter. Nursing, at first, was a practical decision, not a calling. But somewhere along the way, that changed. I found that I love people, all kinds of people, in every season of life.

I started out as a caregiver, loving up on the elderly, and thought that geriatric care would be my path forever. Then, as an LPN working in an inpatient psychiatric hospital, I fell in love with mental health and the resilience of the human spirit and thought I definitely wanted a career in mental health. Later, in urology, I realized I loved that too, and that the common denominator was loving people, no matter the setting. Over the years, I’ve worked in women’s health, pediatrics, functional medicine, and mental health. I’ve also worked extensively with weight management and specialize in hormone health, including perimenopause and menopause care. After earning my RN and BSN, and then my MSN, I became a Family Nurse Practitioner because it allowed me to continue caring for people across all ages and walks of life. I like to say I get to love up on humans in whatever ways they need.

Along the way, I’ve worn many hats. I’ve been married, divorced, and repartnered. I’m a proud mom of four wonderful children, two adults and two littles, who keep life busy and full. My home is filled with love, laughter, and the joyful energy of two dogs, a few chickens, and a flock of free-range ducks who bring me a ridiculous amount of happiness. I’m naturally shy and introverted and sometimes a little awkward, but I can promise that I’ll show up with empathy, curiosity, and a genuine desire to care for you the best I can.

Sometimes when you see me, I’ll be put together and ready to take on the world. Other times, I’ll be on my third cup of coffee just trying to keep up because I’m navigating this wild ride of life too. Either way, I’ll be showing up as me, and I’ll always give you my best.

How I Work With You

I come to healthcare as your teammate, not a dictator. Your health journey is yours. My role is to walk beside you, offer information, guidance, and support, and help you make choices that align with your values and your life. Unless you are overwhelmed with decisions and want someone to make the call for you, if that’s your jam, I’ll wear that hat too.

This is your journey, and there isn’t one right way to do it. You get to choose what works for you. Are you overwhelmed by the time it takes to deal with healthcare, the long waits, the drives, and the scheduling? Maybe you just want a quick telehealth check-in between groceries and obligations, sitting in your car while you finally have a minute to breathe. Or maybe you’re tired of rushed doctor visits where no one takes the time to dig through your symptoms and connect all the pieces to see the whole picture. You get to pick what fits: a 15-minute chat, an hour-long deep dive, or something in between. However you show up, you get to decide what you need, and you get to choose the appointment that fits your life.

I share all of this because you come to meet with your raw self, and I want to meet you there. I’m also a human who has put my eggs in the healthcare basket to help you navigate yours. I want you to know enough about me to decide if I’m the right fit for you. My goal is for you to feel seen, supported, and empowered.

If this sounds like what you’re looking for, I’d be honored to be part of your team. And if you prefer to keep things strictly professional, that’s perfectly fine too. I’ll meet you where you’re most comfortable.
